Sheikh Hamdan goes skydiving over Dubai
Crown Prince shares mid-air moment on social media
DUBAI – Dubai’s skies appear to have come alive once again as His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum shared a striking image of himself skydiving over the emirate.
The Crown Prince of Dubai, who also serves as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, posted the image on his Instagram account, widely followed under the name faz3. The post captures him mid-jump against a backdrop of clear blue skies.
The image shows Sheikh Hamdan equipped with Skydive Dubai safety gear and a helmet bearing the letters “F3”, associated with his personal sports team and Fazza identity. A helmet-mounted action camera suggests that more footage of the jump may be shared in the coming days, adding to the anticipation among followers.
The skydive is being viewed as a strong indication that recreational aerial activities in Dubai have resumed after being halted during the recent regional tensions linked to the US-Israel-Iran war. During the period of heightened security, such activities were grounded, impacting both operators and enthusiasts across the emirate.
For Sheikh Hamdan, skydiving is a long-standing passion. Known for his adventurous pursuits, he has previously undertaken high-profile jumps over iconic Dubai landmarks, often documenting these experiences for his 17.6 million followers on Instagram.
